Now I’m thinking about what it means for CCA to be acquired by Nvidia. What it means for an AI company to buy access to original human thought. And even though I’m on the docket to teach in the DMBA program come Spring 2027, before that I will be let go from CCA. Somehow, hiring me back is the workflow.
After a 30 year hiatus, earlier this spring I started getting back into making music, with two friends, Saleem and Maxime. For now it’s holding the space for a semi-regular jam sesh, and that’s terrific.
This summer I’m tending to my garden and harvesting tomatoes, cucumbers, and green beans. Joined a community plot around the corner from my place in North Oakland, and feeling very grateful and blessed it’s so chill — and I got a plot with full sun!
I haven’t been traveling internationally in years but I’m hoping that changes in 2027.
